Rigid Polyurethane Foam

AFPT's rigid polyurethane is suitable for flotation, buoyancy, pipe insulation, pipe supports, general insulation, slabstock and specialised mouldings. The company also offers an on site foam filling service capable of completing jobs of all sizes.. AFPT have a computer driven WINTECH fast wire saw capable of cutting complex shapes to any profile. AFPT manufacture rigid polyurethane foam in densities of 35, 60, 90 and 200kg/m3 as standard off the shelf products. PUR sheets standard size is 1200mm x 2400mm and can be cut to any thickness. AFPT can easily service clients who require a different or unique density from our core range of products.

Following is some generic information on the suitability of different foams for different applications:

35kg/m3 – Standard insulation grade foam. Suitable for insulation and bouyancy applications as well as building panels and moulded fibreglass systems.

60kg/m3 – Semi structural foam. Suitable for some insulation applications where there is a requirement for some structural integrity. Generally considered a good foam for carving and sculpting.

90kg/m3 – Structural foam. Suitable as a structural core in most applications.

200kg/m3 – Structural foam. Suitable for pipe supports and sign foam.

Following is some limited technical information on what might be expected from the densities listed. It is requested that these figures not be relied upon for final design or engineering purposes. For full technical data on specific products please contact afpt@afpt.com.au.
