The company's 35kg/m3 rigid polyurethane foam has been approved by Department of Transport for use in buoyancy applications. Buoyancy projects have included the manufacture of 2 to 10 tonne flotation elements for the oil and gas industries, foam filling of 50 tonne flotation elements for Christmas Island (on site) and the manufacture of smaller impact resistant flotation elements for local mining and offshore drilling companies.

AFPT use a composite of buoyant materials in the manufacture of our surface and subsurface buoyancy range. Whilst most applications are surface orientated we have completed a number of sub-surface buoyancy projects. Primarily we offer the ability to design and manufacture around a specific project.
